Maurielle Balczon

Maurielle Balczon is an Honors graduate of the University of St. Thomas (Houston) where she majored in International Business Development with triple minors in Economics, Finance, and Spanish. Maurielle studied abroad in Merida, Mexico, and also fulfilled a double regional study of Latin America and the Middle East. In addition to her competency with Spanish, she also has conversational abilities in French and Arabic. Maurielle was the two year nominee for the Emerging Leader Award, two-year recipient of the Pecten Scholarship, and four-year recipient of the President's Award.
Her community and charitable involvements have included serving as President of the International Studies Society, Director-in-Training of the Micro Credit Program, the World Affairs Council of Houston, and completion of the four year CELT Leadership Training initiative.
In April 2010, Maurielle was invited to present her thesis research “Boss Lady: Women in the Executive Suite” at the Southwestern Social Sciences Association’s national conference. Her research investigated corporate leadership, effective leadership styles and organizational structures, gender roles in global business today and highlighted women in the CEO chair around the world.
During her career Maurielle has had professional experience with BIG International Group, The Bilateral US-Arab Chamber of Commerce, and the UST Department of Health Promotion & Wellness.
Her research and experience with both leadership development and better business practices makes her a strong addition to the Wayne O’Neill & Associates team.
